February’s Pinspired craft: Shamrock Ombre Speciman Art Shadowbox

Description: Add some luck of the Irish to your mantle, kitchen or wall with this one of a kind, tiny, 3-D, shamrock art – in an ombre (gradual shades from dark to light) pattern!

Please note: INSTEAD of using an open MDF frame, we have decided to use an 8″ X 10″ faux barnwood shadowbox so you can replace the art after the holiday if you wish. The shadowbox is a gray tone to simulate barnwood, but we will provide white paint in case you want a different distressed wood look.

Project supplies include: Cardstock in a variety of green hues, shamrock pattern, stems, glue, watercolor paper, 8″ X 10″ barnwood shadowbox, paint

Cost: $30* – pay at the door

October 2015 Pinspiration

October’s Pinspired craft: Random Acts of Kindness Countdown Calendar

Description: This month we are using pinspiration from a few different sources to a create a countdown calendar (to display during the holidays or any time of the year) of daily random acts of kindness activities, just in time for the holiday season.

Project supplies include: 24 pre-cut envelopes, 24 blank tags, 24 mini clothespins, jute (for hanging), ribbon, scrapbook paper, a large variety of embellishments, pre-printed countdown numbers, bakers twine, and a pre-printed idea list of random acts of kindness (you can use for inspiration) to create EITHER a Christmas (red, green, black and white) themed OR a colorful (blue, green, pink, orange) themed set of countdown envelopes that can be pinned to the supplied jute on your mantel or wall to inspire you to practice kindness. Tags will come blank so you can personally pick which acts you like best.

Other ideas to hang include using a paneless picture frame to wrap/glue your jute around to display (like one of the inspiration ideas above), gluing the clothespins to a piece of wood, clipping the bags to a string of LED lights, or even hanging the bags from a tree branch. You can also bring your own inspirational paper and embellishments!
